Will Bobby Ryan be suspended?
I don’t know if anyone caught this, but in the final few minutes of the Anaheim/Nashville game Bobby Ryan and Jonathan Blum were battling for the puck behind the net and Ryan lifted his skate and forcefully stomped on Blum’s foot. The refs didn’t notice and nothing was called on the play. Analysts said that should be a match penalty. FYI Ryan scored the empty net goal a couple minutes later.
What do you make of this? Will the NHL look into this? Is it a suspendable offence, and if yes, will he be suspended?
He will definitely be talking to Colin Campbell. Other stomping incidents Simon 30 games, Pronger 10. I’d guess 2 or 4 but I’ve been wrong before.
